Fall Quilt Market is coming soon, and I’m working towards an ambitious goal of three new patterns published for it. So last Friday, on my husband’s day off, we went fabric shopping, and came home with some wonderful treasures for the new samples.
I can’t wait to start on this one. I love the teals. My baby boy keeps sneaking into the studio, picking up these quarter yards, holding them close and saying “mine!” Not sure if he likes them or is imitating his mama. . .
These colors are a bit out of my comfort zone. I can’t remember the last time I made a quilt without blue in it. However, I’m excited to see how they work together, and have some fun fussy-cutting planned for the floral fabric.
So posts may be brief over the next couple of weeks. I’m going to be editing and stitching full-time amongst volleyball games and homework with the kids, but it should be fun. If you, too, are excited to start a new project, check out my Craftsy store. Pumpkin Patches is currently on sale to help you get into the autumn spirit. This is a great project regardless of whether you’re new to English paper piecing, or proficient at it. If you start now, you’ll have a fab new table topper all ready for a cup of coffee with a friend when the weather cools off.
