So the baby quilts for this year are quilted, bound, snuggle-tested (by my 18 month old), and off to their new homes. Whew!
Over the course of these quilts, I got much better at binding by machine, although I’ve still got plenty of room for improvement. The stripey polka dot binding makes me smile, though, regardless of the stitching holding it in place.
I played around with a new stippling pattern, which will probably get its own blog post soon, but here’s a preview. In the midst of these quilts, I purchased the adjustable free-motion foot for my Janome, and I think I’m in love with it.
Now, I’m struggling with a bit of quilty burn-out, and avoiding making eye contact with anything in my studio. Hopefully tomorrow’s adventure to a local quilt show will help me recharge and re-energize.
