I’m not sure why I always assume life slows down in the summer. No school routines and homework for the kiddos should translate to more hours in the day, right? But here we are, halfway through summer vacation, sticking “back to school sale” papers in the recycle bin. And I am actually looking forward to this fall. If cooler weather wasn’t enough to anticipate, September also marks an exciting milestone for Texas quilters. It’s the first ever, month-long Quilt Across Texas Shop Hop. I dearly love shop hops. We attended our first one when the firstborn was less than a year old. We had a ball exploring new towns, discovering the unique personalities of local quilt stores, and just enjoying time as a family. Shop hops have been a part of our world ever since. With ninety quilt stores to explore all over our great home state, September is going to be a busy month. I can’t wait. What makes it even more exciting is knowing that my brand-new quilt patterns will be available during this shop hop. How fun is that!?! Want to know more? Keep checking back, I’ll be posting details soon!
