Quickest Baby Quilt Ever

I recently needed to make a quilt for a baby shower at our church.  With everything else going on, I did not have much time to commit to the project, but I still wanted to make something special.  So I pulled some yardage from my stash in a couple of colors that I liked, cut the yardage in strips by width of fabric, and, voila!

It’s not even properly bound, I just did a pillowcase finish on it.  I think it still came out cute though.

Here’s a close-up of the adorable Winnie the Pooh focus fabric, and the fun quilting motif. I got the quilting design from a Kim Diehl book  of my mom’s.  I love quilting swirlies, and these are even easier than traditional ones!  It still took me more than five bobbins, though.  I gotta come up with a faster quilting scheme.

Hopefully I’ll have another finished quilt to show you over the weekend.

Happy Stitching!

I’d never heard of a pillowcase finish before. Love the look!

I agree with Elizabeth- the only thing that little love will know is that someone made him/her a special blanket! Very cute!! The baby will love it!!
