Back Into Routines

Between sick kiddos and house issues, 2013 has gotten off to a rough start.  Seeing family and friends over the holidays, however, was wonderful.  I had ample opportunity on the long car trips to wrap up some old projects and start some new ones.

One of my new projects is an entry for the 2013 Hoffman Challenge.  The challenge is to use this fabric in an original quilt:

Isn’t it GORGEOUS?!?  I’ve already played with designs in EQ, and I’m starting to print some Inklingo shapes to test my block ideas.  I’m way excited about this quilt.  The deadline is July.  However, since I’m hand piecing it, I want to try and get rolling on it as soon as possible.

So that’s my world at the moment.  Over the next couple of weeks I’ll be doing several posts about all the cool things you can do on Craftsy, along with some reviews of patterns and classes.

How are you channeling all of your nifty new year enthusiasm?

Happy Stitching!

Can’t wait to see what you are coming up with. As for me, quilt top ready to baste, office coasters (crazy quilted) half done, napkins for presents complete, and a new Conversation Pieces started. :) I love your designs!!
