Intro to machine sewing y-seams
Create the fun Hello, Rosy wallhanging while learning new sewing tricks! Techniques taught include machine sewing y-seams and pressing hexagons. Pattern provided. Suitable for quilters of all skill levels.
Intro to hand-sewing y-seams
Make your own Sea Star mug rug, and learn about the soothing fun of hand-piecing! Techniques taught include cutting and marking patches for hand-sewing, basic hand piecing, and joining y-seams. Pattern provided. Suitable for quilters of all skill levels.
Intro to English paper piecing
Learn the technique everyone is talking about! Class will cover multiple basting methods, sewing with a whip stitch, and binding techniques for irregular edges. Shop or guild can choose between Delectable Watermelon, Conversation Pieces, or Pumpkin Patches for the class. Each student will need to purchase the pattern. Suitable for quilters of all skill levels.
Intro to Frosted Hexagons
This is a fun, fast, and easy quilt-as-you-go method of sewing hexagons. Students will learn how to prepare, stitch, and assemble frosted hexagons to create lovely small projects. Shop or guild can choose between Frosted Hexagon Cuff and Scarf, or Frosted Hexagon Table Topper and Coasters. Each student will need to purchase pattern. All students will also learn how to create a simple needle keeper. Suitable for quilters of all skill levels.
1 hour lecture
$325, only available for guilds within a 200 mile radius of Arlington, Texas. For guilds further away, lecture must be combined with a 3 or 6 hour workshop, and additional travel expenses will apply.
